New Zealand’s first natural park, Tongariro, was established in 1897. It is the fourth national park in the world. Tongariro has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The national park gathers around three volcanoes (Tongariro, Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe), the site of Tongariro, therefore, is truly scenic.
