Located in the heart of South Austin, Zilker Park serves as a hub for innumerable recreational activities. The park is home to Barton Springs, which are the habitats of an endangered species named Barton Springs Salamander. Zilker Botanical Garden in this Park is another noteworthy attraction that boasts of various gardens including Doug Blachly Butterfly Garden filled with myriad flower varieties attracting butterflies, Japanese Garden Lily Pond and Koi Pond and Mabel Davis Rose Garden.
