Not only is Sucre the 5th most populated city in the State but is a beauty to look at, what with mountains surrounding it and many a colonial buildings within its confines. La Ciudad Blanca, “the White City” (Sucre’s other name) sits 9,153-feet above sea level, on the very edge of the Andes Mountains. The city is divided into 8 districts, of which first 5 are urban districts and the others are rural districts. With myriad churches and museums and a bunch of competent universities, Sucre has indeed made a mark.
