In November 1965 this park occupied number-171 on the ‘natural monument’ list. The different species of plants and animals that call this Park home led to UNESCO labeling it a conservation area and consequently the only one of its kind in all of Korea. Two disparate trail-types—walking and mountaineering—cater to the tastes of varied tourists. From the peaks to the waterfalls and the natural flora and fauna, you can spend hours in Seoraksan National Park and never get bored.
