Nuku’alofa is the capital of Kingdom of Tonga and the Tongatapu island. Although the town is quite small, there are several tourist attractions and the town in general is a great holiday destination, especially for out-door activities.
The Royal Palace and The Royal Tombs (where the Royal Family of Tonga is burried) are the two main historical sightseeing highlights. Otuhaka and Oholei beaches are great for some of the most splendid scenery of the local coastline. Just like in the most of the settlements in Tongo, diving is the number one activity in Nuku’alofa.
