Not only is the landscape beyond compare, you’ll enjoy the fact of this peninsula shares two provincial borders, namely the Puntarenas and Guanacaste. It once used to be home to vast tracts of forest cover, sometime around the 1940′s, but by the ’60′s it was cleared up with industrial progress until today the beaches stand as the major attraction. From resorts to water sports, small islands that are great for boat excursions and wildlife viewing zones, the Nicoya Peninsula is a marvel indeed.
