Technically still a village, Maun is the largest town in Botswana. While you’re there, you may still see cattle trade and selling, but the progress that this town has made is admirable.

It has come bounds from its original rural nature and now has places where tourists and visitors can stay and shop, purchasing locally-made items such as jewelry and apparel. Near the Thamalakane River, the river sets the scene for this still-frontier town. There is a small reserve outside the town, featuring non-predatory game, and not very far away there is a crocodile farm.
