Los Llanos Attractions
Orinoco is the major river in this region. It is home to around 70 species of water birds, which include the Scarlet Ibis. You can also spot a large number of white bearded flycatchers here. In rainy seasons, most parts of the Llanos are flooded and can be reached only by boat. Numerous animal species also live here, including deer, crocodiles, monkeys, jaguars, foxes, capybaras and toninas. Summer is the best season to spot birds and animals.
