Horanadu Annapoorneshwari Temple
Annapoorneshwari Temple is located in Horanadu, a small town 100 kms from Chikmagalur. Horanadu is located in the Western Ghats of Karnataka on the banks of River Bhadra. Annapoorneshwari means feeding one and all. The deity worshiped in the temple is the Goddess Annapoornaeshwari, a form of Parvati, Lord Shiva’s wife. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served to all visitors and a place to sleep in the temple premises. The uniqueness of this ancient temple is that they have been providing free food (Annaprasada) and shelter for centuries and is continued till date. Poojas are offered three times a day. Special poojas are offered to the deity during Navrathi.

Nearest airport is Mangalore International Airport and you can take a bus from Mangalore to Horanadu. You could also take a train to Shimoga and take a bus from Shimoga to Horanadu. There are also private and KSRTC buses that take you to Horanadu from various cities daily.
