Honiara, Solomon Islands
The capital of Solomon islands and Gaudalcanal, also the only airport of the state, Honiara, has lots to offer since it contains a lot of both natural and historical heritage (several fierce World War II battles took place in Honiara).
A lot of local historical legacy can be acquainted in the National Museum. Several historic war monuments have been established in order to honor the events in Honiara. The Botanical Garden is a must-see for nature lovers, but shopaholics have to head to the Chinatown and Central Market for some of the most extraordinary shopping experience. The superb Honiara beaches are great for diving while hiking to some of the waterfalls of Honiara is another great out-door activity option.
