This village takes its place on the north coast of Savai’i. The village of Fagamalo has a small post office as well as a police station, hospital, and a school.
One natural thing to do in Savai’i is to go for a dive where you can spot the wreckage of Juno, a missionary sailing ship. Other dive sites include Coral Gardens, Canyon Pinnacle, Lelepa Bay, and Avao Bay. For the non-divers, imagine taking a day for bird or whale watching, or enjoying land and water tours. For those interested in Samoan mythology, Fagamalo is said to be the home to Tui Fiti, a spirit deity.
