Bomas of Kenya – A Miniature Version of Kenya
Bomas of Kenya is a cultural village located near Nairobi set up by the Kenyan government to promote tourism in Nairobi beyond the national parks, wildlife and African safari popularity. It is located near Nairobi National Park which is the most popular tourist attraction in the city, so you need not take time out just for this. Exhibits East African culture and life style of the various tribes of Kenya, their houses and of tourist attraction. Its not just a place to go see Kenyan cultural heritage. Many high profile events and traditional dances of Kenya are hosted at this venue. Artistes perform traditional dances from the country’s tribal groups, including Swahili, Kalenjin warrior dances and many more.
How to get to Bomas of Kenya
It from takes about 30 minutes from Nairobi train station. Travel By bus: Take bus# 125 or 126, Travel by Matutus: A 14 seater that is similar to a mini-bus. Both are available from the train station.
