Ale’s Stones, Sweden
Everyone knows Stonehenge, but when it comes to Scandinavia, not everyone can name at least one megalithic monument there. Well, there are some and, in fact, they are no less impressive than the famous stones of Stonehenge. One of this kind of examples is Ale’s Stones and if you happen to visit the Southern part of Sweden, definitely do not pass this site by.
Ale’s Stones Trivia
What makes Ale’s stones so particularly interesting is the fact that they are forming a shape of a ship creating an unusual huge grave to King Ale. Some of the stones are even several thousands of years old thus letting us just imagine how people put these solid and seemingly unmovable stones in order to dignify their deceased king.
