Al Aziziyah, Libya
Ranked #1 in Hottest place on Earth. Al Aziziyah is a small town located about 40 kms from Tripoli, the capital city of Libya and is know for its extreme temperatures.
Highest Temperature Recorded: 57.8 degree Celsius (136.04 Fahrenheit), in 1922. Since the recording took place so long ago many doubt the accuracy of this measurement. In fact the World Meteorological Organization had found the record of the temperature invalid changing the #1 position of hottest temperature to Death Valley, California for a record 56.7 °C (134 °F) recorded on 10 July 1913.
August and September are the hottest months while Dec, Jan and Feb tend to be the cooler months when temperature hovers around the 30 to 35 degrees Celsius.
